Hotel Bright Star is one of the highest internet cafes in the world. Dingboche
is at 4,358 metres or 14,300 feet located at the base of one of the most
spectacular mountains in the world, Amadablam.
Dingboche is near the normal route to Everest base camp and is a good place to
acclimatise at the start of a trek or climb and an a place to rest, reflect and
celebrate when returning.
To get to Dingboche the usual way is to fly into Lukla from Kathmandu, walk
Lukla to Phakding next day to Namche then have a rest day. Walk to Tangboche
Monastery and next day walk to Dingboche. You can then spend some time at our
hotel resting and acclimatising and chat to your family at home if you wish.
